Where I come from

I grew up on the Navajo Nation. My earliest memories are of sheepherding with my great-grandmother, a chantway singer. Ceremony was never taught formally. It was just life: corn pollen in the mornings, prayer and song in the evenings, the rhythm of her batten on the loom.

Between two worlds

At eight, I started moving between the reservation and Northern California, where I lived with my father. At thirteen I found pottery. At fourteen, yoga. They were the places I felt most like myself.

Burning out, turning back

In my twenties and thirties I worked in startups, then corporate America, eventually as a Senior Client Executive at Verizon, ranked 4th in the country. I was also burning out: migraines, anxiety, a sense that I'd drifted far from anything real. So I turned back to what had always steadied me: yoga, breath, sound, clay.

Coming home

That turning became a long education, and it brought me home to Diné Bikeyah, back to Window Rock, to share what I'd learned with my community.

Today

I work with leaders, people in transition, and people carrying grief. Sometimes that's coaching. Sometimes it's sound, breathwork, or ceremony. Sometimes it's making horsehair pottery.
